So here I am enjoying the beautiful nature that God created in the lovely state of Pennsylvania. I've been at home all week since we've had the week off due to jworx being in Appilachia West Virginia. it has been a really good week to just sit back and relax and such things before our last week of justiceworx and serviceworx.
Yesterday I was in Princeton with this years Mary and Kelly and we were talking about the community last year and I got thinking about you all and decided to give you an update. And Michelle is on her way to New Jersey which is reason enough to update the blog!
It is weird to think that this is my second summer ending. It has been an interesting and awesome summer. There has only been 4 staff members here all summer, not including the leadership team and the rest of the staff has been volunteers, who we have needed greatly! Our volunteers have been returners, Carolyn, Katie Onka, Steph Monteleone but we have also had some new great faces to add to the bunch, Steph Harris, Steph's friend Karen, Brian's brother Dan. It's interesting to not only have different kids each week but on some occassions different staff members each week.
On top of the craziness of the staff, Brian got married a couple weeks ago, a bunch of kids went to West Virginia for justiceworx and Chris will soon be an employee for the Center for FaithJustice. All fun and exciting things!
It has been an awesome summer even with the craziness. Our activites and programing has gone swell and even when we were a little understaffed we had time for celebrations thanks to Diana!
And so tomorrow starts the last week of the summer. It is again bitter sweet knowing that this time next week it will all be over and that this is the last time Justiceworx will be held at the Seminary. But the summer has been great, the kids are superstars per usual and the staff still didn't get enough sleep but it is all worth it!
